Our standard close-coupled stainless steel 316 pumps with closed or semi-open impeller have the same interaxis as ISO 5199 chemienorm pumps, this means easy interchangeability. Pump casing and impeller are manufactured by investment casting and the pump casing is electrochemically polished. This makes our HD - HG pumps more durable and of higher quality than stamped sheet steel pumps. This series of pumps is provided with a standard IEC (norm) motor (several brands of motors possible/available) with stub-shaft design.

- Possible shaft sealing designs : single mechanical seal, double tandem mechanical seals, double back-to-back mechanical seals and stuffing box packing.

- Connections : flange connection or DIN11851.

- The HD - HG series is available in Atex zone 1 and 2.

Characteristics

The HDM - HDA, HGM - HGA stainless steel centrifugal pumps are single-stage quality pumps with closed impeller (HDM-HDA) or semi-open impeller (HGM-HGA). The HD version with closed impeller is used for clean liquids or liquids with a low percentage of very small solids. The HG is also used for liquids with (few) solids (no fibres) and/or liquids containing gas/air.

Application

The HD-HG pumps are especially widely used for water treatment, in the food, pharmaceutical, textile and chemical industries, etc.

HGM sectional drawing

The closed impeller version (HD) is suitable for pumping clean liquids or liquids with a small percentage of solids in suspension, while the open impeller version (HG) is suitable for pumping liquids with small solids in suspension (not fibrous), also viscous, with gas or air. The pumps with flange connections have connections according to EN 22858 and are therefore interchangeable with the RD and RG type (chemical standard).

Only 1 pump casing per pump size

It can be used for both closed impeller (with wear ring) and open impeller (with replaceable wear plate): with a few changes, the pump can be adapted to new application and process conditions.

Wear plate also on close-coupled pump

Given that the pump casing is the most expensive part of a close-coupled pump, the ability to replace the wear plate offers the opportunity to minimize maintenance and repair costs.

Standard IEC motors

The HD and HG pumps are provided with standard B3B5 motors (flange/foot design), which are readily available. The pump shaft (stub-shaft) is attached to the motor shaft and it is easily replaceable in case of wear.
